Why I Offer Rainbow Bridge Sessions
Honoring The Love. Preserving The Love.
Rainbow Bridge Sessions
Rainbow Bridge Sessions are thoughtfully created for families facing the loss of a beloved animal. These sessions are quiet, relaxed, and centered around your animal's comfort. There is no pressure to pose or rush through the session, and we can take breaks whenever needed.
When you're comfortable, I also encourage you and your family to be part of the photographs. My goal is to preserve not only your animal's personality but also the relationship, connection, and little moments you share.
Who Are These Sessions For?
Rainbow Bridge Sessions are intended for animals with a terminal diagnosis, those receiving hospice or end-of-life care, or those with an upcoming euthanasia. Because I want to give each family the time and attention they deserve, availability may be limited.
Niko was one of the dogs who inspired N&K Photo and will always be a very important part of my story. After he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, I knew our time together was limited, but I truly believed we had more of it. Unfortunately, Niko passed away very quickly, and I wasn't prepared for how little time we actually had left.
As a photographer, I have hundreds of photographs of Niko, and I am incredibly grateful for every one of them. But after losing him, I realized something I hadn't thought about before: I wish I had more photographs of the two of us together. I have so many photographs that capture who he was, but not nearly enough that capture the relationship and memories we shared.
That experience is why Rainbow Bridge Sessions mean so much to me. I want to give other families the opportunity to preserve not only photographs of the animal they love, but also the connection they share with them. These sessions are about capturing the little expressions, interactions, and moments that tell your story together because sometimes we think we have more time than we do.
