For over 11 years, I have volunteered with animal shelters and rescue organizations, working with animals with many different personalities, backgrounds, and needs. Throughout those years, I have had the honor of being a small part of their journeys and helping share their stories through my photography. I am also a member of Hearts Speak, a nonprofit organization that brings together photographers and other creative professionals to help animals in need.

A shelter can be an overwhelming environment for an animal, and it isn't always easy for their true personality to come through. My goal is to work patiently with each animal and capture the expressions, behaviors, and little moments that show who they really are. A photograph may be someone's first introduction to an adoptable animal, and I want that photograph to help tell their story.
